First sweaty red faced workout of the week completed! Haven’t worked out since Thursday due to being busy but went hard today with two circuits. Now home for a healthy yummy dinner! Cook Single Leg Hip Bridge ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️ 🌶️Place a tennis ball or lacrosse ball on top of your right hip (can't see it under my sweater lol my bad😅) 🌶️Clinch it with your thigh, pulling your leg into full hip flexion. 🌶️Bring your belly button to your spine, clenching your stomach like you're about to be poked! 🌶️Now, pushing thru the front of your planted heel, raise your hips, squeezing your butt on that side. 🌶️Maintain tension in your top hip and thru the abdomen. 🌶️Repeat for 8-10 reps a leg! ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️ These are amazing because they target both sides of your hips at once. I made a promise to myself that I was going to get my deadlift game strong as it’s something I will make excuses to always avoid. . Open to little tips and pointers on my technique, as I’m the first to admit, I’m in absolute beginner territory here. . I have a terrible habit of going full throttle at something and overdoing it. Instead, this time, I started at a very light weight and worked it up to only 75kg, focusing on my technique and trying to understand the movement in my body. . If you too are new to specific lifts, or in general the weights section of a gym, remember, we all need to start somewhere. Here is me, a few years in to lifting, and pretty comfortable in the gym still getting gym fear with a certain lift. So don’t be intimidated.
