'Inspirations' .291 // 007 . To be honest, I wasn't too happy with how the genre blog entries were written; I thought I got into a groove starting with street, but I kind of trapped myself in. It's still pretty much spot-on with how I feel, but my writing ability is nowhere near good enough to do that justice. Moving onwards to some broader topics though, starting with inspiration! What inspires you? . #photography #blog #inspiration #metmuseum #forward #justkeepshooting #agameoftones #patterns #nycphotographer #archer #statuesque #gold

Heavenly Bodies.

A rare selfie at the #MetMuseum with one of my favorite people.

Uh oh! Time is running out to see the #paintedinmexico exhibition, closing this Sunday @themet . I can’t believe I never posted this sweet portrait of a Conceptionist nun, a favorite work. #themet #metmuseum #nunportrait #conceptionists

Closing tomorrow, #lifelike, #sculpture, #color, and the #body at the #metbreuer is a #mustsee. #jeffkoons's #michaeljackson, #maxklinger's new #salome, the preserved body of #jeremybentham, and evening dress with bra strap necklace are among the highlights @metbreuer @metmuseum #art #metropolitanmuseumofart #metmuseum

Chanel | c. 1938 • • • In tune with the fashions of the 1930s, Chanel went through what has been called her "romantic" period, typified by lace and tulle gowns with skirt ruffles or flounces. Although the clothes are seemingly antimodern in their aesthetic, Chanel asserted their modernity by revealing and emphasizing the techniques of their construction, such as vertical overstitching to hold the soft lace tiers in fixed flounces. By using the virtuoso hand-sewn details of the couture as both structural and decorative devices, Chanel was responding to the clarion call of modernism that required design to speak of utility and truth to materials. • • • #whattheywore #historicalfashion #fashion #fashiondesign #fashionhistory #historyoffashion #vintagefashion #art #vintage #historicfashion #defunctfashion #costume #costumedesign #couture #costumehistory #chanel #cocochanel #1930sfashion #30sfashion #metmuseum
